Rex Sinquefield is Compassionate

Rex Sinquefield’s rags-to-riches life is one of his attractions (that is what aspired us to develop this blog about him). Born in St. Louis, he spent six years in St. Vincent’s orphanage—roughly ages 8 to 14—before reuniting with his widowed mother and older sisters.

Mr. Sinquefield is a director of St. Vincent Orphan's Home in St. Louis. This is the most admirable character about him. He never forgot his roots and has compassion for the orphans that St. Vincent serves today. How many wealthy people in this modern world will go back to serve honorably the orphanage where they grew? Few if any because many become drunk with wealth and wordly possessions but not Mr. Sinquefield. He has the worldly possesions but is full of campassion. He shares his wealth with the indigent and the needy.

Did you know that Mr. Sinquefield donates far more money to other personal passions besides politics, such as the symphony, St. Vincent’s and after-school programs for the urban poor? A chess fanatic, Sinquefield is offering to start and bankroll a regionwide chess program for children.
